In order to be able to legally drive on public roads in Philippines, one must have a valid Driving Licence and in order to do so, the first step is to pass LTO Written Test. This document can be availed by Philippines citizens. Anyone above the age of 17 years can take this drivers licence test at the nearest Land Transportation Office (LTO). Applicants who wish to avail a Driving Licence in Philippines will have to pass LTO written test. The questions asked will be of a multiple choice question format. Applicants will have to get a minimum number of correct answers to pass the LTO written test.
How many questions are asked in the LTO exam?
LTO written test questions follow a multiple-choice question format. A total of 40 questions are asked for non-professional license exam, and 60 questions for professional drivers license exam. In order to successfully clear the LTO written test, you need to answer 30 out of 40 questions for non-professional driver exam and 45 out of 60 questions for professional driver exam.
What if I Fail in LTO Written Test?
Well, as per the latest rules of Land Transportation Office (Philippines), you would be fined Php 3,000/- for driving without a licence. But don't worry if you fail in the LTO written test in your first attempt. You can re-apply for LTO written test after 1 month. Once you successfully clear your LTO written test, you can then apply to get a driver’s licence.
